Building resilient regions: the power of entrepreneurship in times of crisis
Synopsis
Entrepreneurship is deeply rooted in history and culture and drives regional resilience. A thriving entrepreneurship culture fueled by social acceptance, supportive policies, and education emerges slowly but endures. Role models, trust, and collaboration are critical factors and universities and local networks are crucial for regional entrepreneurship. For harnessing the power of entrepreneurship, regions need stable democratic frameworks, mutual trust, realistic public perceptions, and strong knowledge bases. Finally, the potential of entrepreneurship lies in fostering autonomy, innovation, and collective action to tackle future challenges.
